"Elizabeth Barrett began writing poems when she was six years old. She had eleven brothers and sisters while growing up in a beautiful country home in England. Elizabeth even wrote the story of her life at the age of fourteen. She was confident that she would be a famous writer some day. The next year Elizabeth fell ill, and she spent a lot of time in bed reading and writing. As an adult, she was often ill. While lying in bed, she wrote volumes of poems and her poetry became wellknown. Admiring her writing, Robert Browning, who was a poet, visited her. The two writers fell in love, married, and spent fifteen happy years together."

교수님 수업에서 'Robert Browning' 에 관해 접하지 못했더라면 그냥 지나칠 수 있는 글이었건만 옥석이라도 발견한 양 기분이 좋았답니다. 역시 사랑도 해본 사람이 사랑에 관한 글도 쓸 수 있는 것이 아닌가 하는 생각이 듭니다.
